September 19 this week...for the first time since...ever...i had lunch with penelope. it was so nice to talk to a girl who has her own thoughts for once, and is actually willing to communicate w/o prompting. after all, how often is it that you will find someone in singapore who would talk about healthcare, politics and spirituality voluntarily?
GOD she's such a beautiful girl. smart too - she's studying to be a lawyer. i'm sure she'll be awesome, and help all sorts of people. she's so nice too. even though she was sick, she still went to lunch, then shopping, even went out after that w/ her family i think.
i guess i'm probably aiming too high, but i always liked her. guess since we never communicated online, i never really thought we were possible. at this point, it won't happen anyway :P timing's totally terrible, and she'll probably be attached by the time i come back to singapore permanently anywayz - it's like 4 years, i don't think she'll be waiting that long right?
yep.
so there's really no point in telling her anything right? just say byebye and maybe meet up whenever she's back in town. come to think of it, eventually it'll be when I'M back in town huh? :P
lame.
this week sucked after saturday.
peace out.
later. September 11 another week, another raceomg. this week's race is totally whacked.
apparently alonso screwed up massa's trial run by blocking him, so the stewards pushed him back about 5 spaces, putting him at the end of the top 10. well that wasn't too bad. however, he only shot his way up to 6th, where he sat for a loooong time. for some reason he wasn't able, or simply didn't WANT to, overtake heidfeld - just sat on his tail the whole time.
basically he spent this race in the lower half of the top 10 order. not until the last pit stop did he pull his game out of his ass and get himself into 3rd. quite a new strategy actually. he cut out of the pit lane JUST in front of kubica, putting him in 3rd.
the unbelieveable happened next: HIS CAR FLAMED! started spewing while smoke all over the place. luckily he pulled off the track. totally wrecked Massa's driving though - he went cross country and chewed up his tyres LOL. had to go back to the pit for a new set, and he goes from 4th to 9TH! lol what a kicker, considering he spent most of his time in 2nd/4th place. kubica did well to stay in position though, and schumi was just a rocket, really.
so he's announced his retirement. 2006 will be his last season - no more in 2007. they haven't announced his replacement, but i'm sensing that from now on, Ferrari's racing tactics will change CONSIDERABLY, no matter how good Massa is - and that guy can drive.
well we'll wait and see, won't we? :)
peace out.
later. September 09 another friday over....i hate taxi drivers. i really hate taxi drivers. did i mention that i hate taxi drivers? maniacal bastards, they are. i was driving along behind a cab in the next lane when suddenly the bastard's ASS is in my face! i have to break like a madman, almost HIT the bastard.
DAMNIT! can you imagine if i had crashed? christine was in the car! omg i would've dragged the bastard taxi driver out of the car and smashed his head in - that's if he was still alive. dead is a good state for many cab drivers. immobile would be just as good. not as satistfying, but just as good.
anyway, my sister pointed me to an interesting site: Pandora.com. it is freakin' awesome. these people have basically analysed tonnes of songs and distilled their characteristics into "genes" in what they call the Music Genome Project. By entering the first song choice - artist or song, the program will analyse your song's characteristics, then select songs from its list that are similar to/match the original choice's. it's like a playlist of songs that may suit you tastes based on your input. then as you approve/disapprove of each song, the boundaries are more and more defined. definitely something worth checking out. :)
peace out.
later. September 05 Army Daze!!alrighty...for all you non-Singaporeans, if you're even the slightest bit interested, someone has put an entire movie online.
this monie was made back in 1996, and was a "parody" about life in National Service. it's not really what life is like, but it does demonstrate some key factors:
a) we come from all walks of life for the same purpose
b) we all fo through some pretty crazy training
it's on YouTube, and it's split into 9 parts so you'll have to wait a while but it is hiLArious. here are the links:
peace out. September 02 updates??omg i haven't updated in a coon's age! guess i haven't had much news haha. anywayz, apparently my blog came up in a search for "cartoon sex"?? GOD those engines have GOT to be a bit more discerning. like seriously. why would my site be associated with cartoon sex?!?!
heh heh...LEICESTER CAME BACK TO SINGAPORE! crazy slutzor didn't tell anyone...got the shock of my life to see him - like a spectre in the haze :P he lost SO MUCH WEIGHT it was ridiculous. really put my efforts to shame. :) haha but seriously happy for the dude. now he's starting to do well in a few parts of ippt - running in particular. i mean...10:45?! seriously? compared to me that's god-like. i can't even pass and he's going for silver timing >(. luckily he still can't pass the others ;) haha nah that's not a good thing. but i'm sure with his training regime he'll pass in no time - probably before he ORDs anyway haha. definitely not before I ORD though :P haha. i'm so bad.
been feeling kind of lonely lately. just thinking about ORD made me kind of sad - which is weight, considering it is what it is. in the end these are the people that i spent the last 2 years of my life with. despite the rocky times, we're still a group. sadly i have not made connections outside of NS, and as of now - right now - the only people i can truely say i KNOW are the people in the office. i've pretty much lost contact with most of the people in australia, from church (i have no idea how that happened - could someone enlighten me?). would like to get in touch with them again but apparently i'm quite forgettable. :P anywayz, don't blame them - they've got lives to live too...just would like to reacquaint myself with the people i once talked to so much.
anyhoo, hope things will get better soon.
peace out.
